Diabetes Decathlon

The Diabetes Prevention Decathlon is a comprehensive 10-week program aimed at helping individuals prevent the onset of long-term conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Participants engage in a combination of holistic well-being education, physical activity sessions, and teamwork. They meet weekly, working collaboratively to reduce their risk through theory sessions, games, discussions, and 45-minute physical activity sessions featuring various sports.

Decathletes are motivated to increase their physical activity levels between sessions to earn "Sweatcoins," which can be redeemed for prizes. Additionally, they earn Sweatcoins by watching recap videos and participating in weekly quizzes. The program emphasises a supportive and relaxed environment, delivering high-quality, easy-to-understand information, and fostering teamwork and peer support to help participants graduate with an improved long-term health outlook.
